Why we built it

Public social media data is everywhere, but getting it into an app is slow work. Each platform shows it differently, changes its pages without notice and puts part of it behind a login. Teams end up keeping a scraper for every platform, each with its own output and its own ways of breaking.

We think public data should behave like any other API: one key, one response shape, and errors that say what happened and whether trying again will help. That's Social Parse. You ask for a profile, posts or comments, and the JSON looks the same on every platform.

When a platform redesigns its pages, we update how we read them, and your field names stay the same. You write your parser once.

What we build

A REST API, its docs and a dashboard for keys, usage, credits and your team.

One API for 8 platforms

Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, Threads, TikTok, X (Twitter) and YouTube: 85 endpoints for profiles, posts, comments, communities and search, all behind one API key.

One response shape

Every answer comes in the same envelope: data, page for the next page, and meta. Field names and types stay the same when a platform redesigns its pages.

You pay for answers

A successful call costs one credit, and an error costs nothing. Credits come in one-time packs, with no subscription, and never expire.

Docs for people and agents

Every docs page is also Markdown, next to llms.txt and an OpenAPI document, so an AI agent can find the right endpoint and call it with your key.

How we handle public data

The rules we hold ourselves to, and that our terms hold our customers to.

We never sign in

No accounts, cookies or tokens, ours or yours. We read what a logged-out visitor sees; a private profile or group answers LOGIN_REQUIRED.

See the error codes

Fetched when you ask

We keep no archive of what we fetch. A response is cached for a few minutes, then deleted, so content removed at its source drops out within those minutes.

Read the Public Data Notice

Clear limits on use

Our terms rule out surveillance, background checks, facial recognition, re-identifying people, targeting ads at individuals and selling the data for AI training.

People can ask

Anyone whose public posts may appear in results can ask what we hold about them, have it deleted or object to its use.

Who we are

Social Parse is built and run by a small independent team in India. The people who answer your email are the people who build the API, so a question about a field or an error reaches someone who can look into it.

We aren't affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any of the platforms we read; their names and logos belong to their owners. Write to us at [email protected], or see Contact for what to include.

About us, briefly

What people ask about who's behind the API.

Who runs Social Parse?

A small independent team in India. The people who build the API also answer support email at [email protected].

Is Social Parse affiliated with Instagram, TikTok or the other platforms?

No. We aren't affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any platform; their names and logos belong to their owners. We read their public pages as a logged-out visitor does.

Does Social Parse keep the data it fetches?

We keep no archive. A response is cached for a few minutes, then deleted. The Public Data Notice lists the few pages we keep to repair our extraction when a platform changes.

How is Social Parse different from running my own scraper?

You have nothing to run or maintain. You call one endpoint and get typed JSON in the same shape for every platform, and when a platform changes its pages, we update how we read them.

How do I get in touch?

Email [email protected]. We usually reply within one business day; the Contact page says what to include so we can answer in one go.
