These terms are the agreement between you and Social Parse ("we", "us") for the website, the dashboard and the API (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, buying credits or calling the API, you accept them. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm you can bind it to these terms, and "you" includes it.
The Service
Social Parse turns public social media pages into structured JSON. It reads only what a visitor who isn't logged in can see: it never signs in to a platform, and content behind a login, such as private profiles, private groups and messages, is out of its reach.
We aren't affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any platform; their names and logos belong to their owners. Platforms change their pages and limit access without notice, so an endpoint may return less data, fail or stop working for a while. We work to keep endpoints running, but we don't promise that any endpoint, field or platform stays available.
Accounts and API keys
- You must be at least 18 and give accurate details.
- Keep your password and API keys secret. You're responsible for everything done with your account and keys, including calls made with a key that leaked. Revoke a key in the dashboard as soon as you think it's exposed.
- A workspace's owner is responsible for the workspace: its members, keys and use.
Credits and payment
- Calls use prepaid credits: a successful call costs one credit, and an error costs nothing (see Credits).
- A new account's first workspace gets 100 free credits, once. We may change or end free credits for new accounts.
- Credits are sold in one-time packs, listed on Pricing. There's no subscription and nothing renews. Credits don't expire while their workspace exists; they have no cash value and can't be moved to another workspace.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider, which acts as the merchant of record and may charge taxes. Prices can change for future purchases, never for packs already bought.
- Purchases are final; the Refund and Cancellation Policy lists the exceptions.
Acceptable use
You may use the Service and its data in your own products, analysis and research. You must not use them to:
- surveil, track or profile individuals, or run background checks on them;
- identify people by their face or other biometrics, or re-identify people in data meant to be anonymous;
- target ads at individuals based on their data;
- sell or license the data for training AI models;
- resell access to the API, share your keys with others, or offer the Service's data as an API of your own;
- harass, stalk, discriminate against or harm anyone, or send spam;
- break any law, including privacy, data protection and intellectual property law;
- attack, overload or probe the Service, get around its rate limits or credit checks, or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows.
Your responsibility for the data
You decide what you request and what you do with the results, so you're responsible for that use complying with the law and with any terms that bind you, including having a lawful basis to process personal data in the results. The data comes from pages that others publish, and we grant you no rights in that content. Don't keep personal data longer than you need it, and delete it when the law requires, for example when a person asks you to.
Our property
We own the Service, its software, documentation and brand. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.
No warranty
The Service and its data are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its data is accurate, complete or current.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims about the Service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
Indemnity
You'll defend and indemnify us against claims, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your use of the Service or its data, your products, or your breach of these terms or the law.
Suspension and closing
- We may suspend keys or workspaces, or close accounts, that break these terms, put the Service or others at risk, or where the law requires it, telling you first where we reasonably can.
- You can stop using the Service at any time. To close your account, email [email protected]. Unused credits are lost when an account closes, unless the law requires otherwise.
- The sections on your responsibility for the data, our property, warranties, liability and indemnity continue to apply after an account closes.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version. For a material change, we'll email account owners or show a notice in the dashboard at least 14 days before it applies. Using the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. A dispute that can't be settled by writing to us first goes to the courts of India, which have exclusive jurisdiction. This doesn't take away protections that the law of your country gives you as a consumer.
