Platforms/X (Twitter)
X (Twitter) API
Read public X profiles and their latest posts, a post with its replies and its video's transcript, communities and Spaces, as JSON. Every call reads what a logged-out visitor sees: no X account and no developer app.
X (Twitter) endpoints
8 endpoints, each a GET request with your key in the x-api-key header.
| Endpoint | Request | Returns |
|---|---|---|
| Profile | GET /v1/twitter/profile?handle=NASA | An account's profile: name, bio, link, location, followers, following, post count and when it joined. |
| Profile tweets | GET /v1/twitter/profiles/tweets?handle=NASA | An account's latest posts, without its replies and reposts: the 5 its profile shows logged out, its pinned post first. |
| Tweet | GET /v1/twitter/tweets?tweet_id=1916982720317821050 | A post: its text, author, counts and views, images and videos, links, mentions and hashtags, and the ids of the posts it quotes or replies to. |
| Tweet replies | GET /v1/twitter/tweets/replies?tweet_id=1916982720317821050 | A post's top replies: the threads its page shows logged out (3 on most posts), each a reply and any replies under it (reply_to_id says which post each answers). |
| Tweet transcript | GET /v1/twitter/tweets/transcript?tweet_id=1916982720317821050 | A video post's captions, the ones X makes from its speech, as one text and as timed segments. |
| Community | GET /v1/twitter/communities?community_id=1733520006279815231 | A community: its name, description, members, topic, rules and who made it. |
| Community tweets | GET /v1/twitter/communities/tweets?community_id=1733520006279815231 | A community's top posts: the 20 its page shows logged out. |
| Space | GET /v1/twitter/spaces?space_id=1YGNrbYyLROGw | A Space, X's live audio: its title, state, hosts and speakers, listeners, times and whether it can be replayed. |
Your first request
Save your key and the base URL, then call the profile endpoint:
export API_KEY="your-api-key"
export API_URL="https://api.socialparse.dev"
curl -H "x-api-key: $API_KEY" "$API_URL/v1/twitter/profile?handle=NASA"Every answer has the same envelope on every platform: data, page for the next page, and meta. See Responses and Errors.
Compared with X's own API
X's own API charges for read access, and reading at any volume needs a paid plan. Social Parse needs neither: it reads the public pages, and you pay per successful call.
Pricing
One credit per successful call, whichever endpoint; errors cost nothing and credits never expire. New accounts start with 100 free credits. See pricing for the packs.
FAQ
Do I need X credentials or developer approval?
No. Social Parse reads X's public pages as a logged-out visitor does, so you only need an API key.
What does each X call cost?
One credit per successful call, live or cached; a page of results is one call, and errors cost nothing. New accounts get 100 free credits.
What about private X content?
Only what a logged-out visitor can see is read. Content behind a login answers 403 LOGIN_REQUIRED, and something deleted answers 404 NOT_FOUND.
How fresh is the data?
Each call reads the live page. The same call within a few minutes is answered from a short cache, and deleted content is never served from it.
